Hartmann's Zebra

Description and Identification :

Shoulder height:          Males and Females         1,5 m

Body mass:                                           Males          300 kg- 340 kg

                                                          Females           280 kg - 320 kg

•   Dark and light stripes on the rump of equal width
•  Zebra mane    –not so developed
• Hooves   – pointed
• Even pattern from head to tail
• No pattern on under part

Social Behavior:

• Similar to Burchell Zebra
• Hartmann Zebra more nomadic
• one foal
